Hi John,
Willow is a good carving white wood. It is soft with fairly fine grain that
take any type of finish you want to give it. You will find it carves a lot
like basswood.

I have a section from a weeping willow tree (5 inches by 7 feet) Has anyone
carved this kind of wood? I wanted to know if I should save it for carving
or bring it to the dump.
God Bless,
JohnG
