[Woodcarver] Basswood prices

Hugh's got it right. Join a club, make use of this
list, and buy good wood. There is a lot of variation
in Basswood and it's properties to carve well. As you
begin carving you will notice some that carves like
butter and some that is ornery. In time you will
learn the difference.
Smaller chunks are often cheaper than the larger
ones/per board foot.
If you buy on E-bay watch out for the shipping
prices---some are fair some are NOT.
