Thanks for voicing your approval of the stylized water. I really like taking complex objects, like water, and finding ways to represent them in wood.
Now, the Viking carving I did some years back shows water rendered more realistically. I managed to achieve perspective in the water with progressively finer tool-marking as the water recedes into the background.

You have a wonderful perspective on the water in that picture. All you work makes great use of textures and alternating those textures to differentiate objects. That is one of your trademarks and you do it very well.
