[Woodcarver] Cedar

As some of you know I have recently moved to a small tourist town inside a National park. There's not allot of material supply places out here & gathering wood inside a Nation park is illegal (if you get caught :)) I've got some ideas I'm working on to make a little extra money off all the tourists that pass through here but don't want to keep driving back into the 'Big City' for supplies. I've found a place that sells cedar boards that would suit my purpose but I've never tried to carve cedar before. 

Just looking for some feedback on how well cedar works for relief carving.
