[Woodcarver] Yorkarvers show

Friends,

Our 1st carving show in many years was held this Saturday in a church in 
York, PA.  We had 11 tables with club members only exhibiting.  There 
were no frills at this show, meaning NO competition and NO vendors.  The 
church lent us the hall for free so the public got in free.  We had 100 
guests, plus excellent barbecue chicken hosted by the host church.

The church pastor, Mitch Galloway (twin brother of Mike Galloway who 
teaches at the North East Woodcarver Roundup) is also a wood carver, and 
he is BLIND since 11 years old.  You should see his carvings - simply 
beautiful!!!  He does however, need someone to paint and cut out blanks 
for him.

Our goal was to attract new carvers for which there was some interest, 
time will tell.  All in all it was a success.  We'll do it again next year.
