Dear Mr. Ivon Whillock,
Thank you very much for your email.
It is absolutely correct that there are many kinds of scam over the internet
where personal identification is difficult. I have been into such
correspondance with one Nigirian company but fortunately I escaped with my
luck.
Sometime people from Overseas says they have huge amount of un-claimed money
to be transfered to one's account, sometime they wish to buy, sometime they
wish to appoint one as next of kin, and many more........
I must inform you that i am areal exporter for last five six year to many
people in US and Canada but on a very very small scale. I have one very
satisfied customer in Toranto, Canada who can tell you about my reality if
you are in canada. I am very satisfied and Ok with my current business but
if I find one genuine rep, I would like to appoint to expand my business for
more people. It is human nature to go ahead when he reached to one place. I
have a small factory in india in which i along with some of skilled and
un-identified wood carver develop new and original pieces. There are many
good wood carver in my area who sale or carver for unfair wages for large
siged exporter and do not get fair money. I have gathered them and share the
profit in fair way.
I had launched a website of my work some year before as www.asiacarving.com
but it is out of order for some new addition and renovation work.
well, I feel that it is enough for your satisfaction but if you need more
then i will give you telephone or email addresses of my satisfied clients
then you can ask them for me.
regards
Sarfaraz

Hi all......there,
I have recently contacted Mr.Bill Judt for my subscription to the woodcarver
mailing list.
I just came to know about this through the Internet surfing . May I take
this opportunity to introduce myself as a custom woodcarvings artisan and
other wooden handicrafts craftsman in SAHARANPUR, the WOOD CARVING CITY of
India?

I'm specialists in Hand Carvings like Capitals, Appliques, Niches, Flowers
features, Swags, Hand carved Moldings, Cornice, Column Capitals, Pilasters,
Bed Rails, Chair Rails, Stair Parts, Rosettes, Urns, Corbels, Brackets,
Fireplace Mental Components, Header & Footer Appliqués, Paneling, Bar
Pillars, Ceiling Medallions, Carved Finials, Onlays, Shells, Carved Table
Legs, Decorative Wood Ornaments and various other furniture components. I
normally uses Kiln dried seasoned Pine, Shesham, Mahogany and Mango woods. I
specialize in design and development of all kind of complicated custom
woodcarvings for Cabinetry and Architectural furniture manufacturing
industries. I can translate any of your idea, photo, picture, drawing or
text in to real physical sample piece. I also specialize in developing small
quantity specified woodcarvings custom pieces for home and personal use.

I mostly worked for the large scale Exporter In New Delhi (India) who buy my
woodcarvings at very low price and sale on the high prices to the overseas
buyers. I do not get fair price for my art work. but recently, with the
advise of one of my friend I tried to search customer on the net. I have one
customer in USA and one in Ont. Canada. these two customer are very happy
with my work and services. I am looking for someone who can help me find the
right customer for my exceptionaly original designs. I wish to appoint
someone as my representative for wholesale production. can anyone help me? I
wish to make my right appearance in the overseas carving people.

If anyone wish to see my work, Please drop me a line, I will send pictures
by email.

Mr. Sarfaraz Hasan:

Considering the many scams that come over the internet, we all must be very
careful with our business relationships. As a professional carver who is
visible on the internet, I get many "offers" to be the US rep for an
overseas company. The offers are money transfer schemes, whereby bad checks
or credit sales are sent to the US rep who is expected to "keep a share for
himself" and then send the rest to the overseas company. The transaction
turns out to be fraudulent and so the US victim has received bad money and
has sent good money overseas. The scheme has many variations.

A US rep, therefore, must be very careful to avoid getting into one of those
schemes. He would need evidence that your business is a legitimate one and
that the customers are real. Who, specifically is the exporter you worked
for, and who, specifically are your Canadian and US customers? A US rep
would want to not just see pictures but have some specifics of your
background, along with references that could be checked.

It is a sad that but true situation, but in this world of internet scams, we
must all be careful.

I hope this information is helpful for anyone looking into an overseas
business relationship.
