Bill I agree and don't have a problem with what has been posted. Trying to
sell woodcarvings and the discussion of such should be a part of this and any
other carving list. while his tone was offensive I understand it is only
his frustration showing through. I am also sure he could teach us a lot of
things that we don't know. I welcome him to the list. I would only have a
problem if he joined this list trying to use other carvers for his own purposes,
mainly money. Most carvers, perhaps 99% are in love with carving, whether
they try to sell or not. If I approached a woodcarver at a fair and all he was
intrested in was making a buck, I would be put off instantly and turn away.
perhaps it is only the way it comes through in translation but the mans
approach is a bit off and very different from the majority of carvers I have met.
If he is interested in joining our community, I am glad to have him but if
he is there to use us, thats entirely another matter.
