GOW News Release
We have a unique opportunity for a class here at the GOW. Dr. Delilah
Anderson (Board Certified Chiropractic Internist & Clinical
Nutritionist) has offered to teach a class in nutrition and
supplements. If there is enough interest the 1-1/2 hr class will be
Thursday, September 21, at 10 AM here at the GOW at a cost of $5. Dr.
Delilah Anderson doesn't sell or recommend any supplements but
instructs you how to buy them, what to look for, supplements that
work and don't work. Her class will be directed on how to use
nutrition to help us with our health problems. My wife Sharon took
the class and recommends it highly.
This class is an effort to have something for non-carvers as well as
carvers here at the GOW. I would like to know about how many, who are
coming to the GOW, would be interested in taking this class.
Also in the same vain of activities for non-carvers I'm wondering if
there would be any interest in a trip to Chicago. What I'm thinking
is to hire someone to take a van load into Chicago to see the sights
for the day. I'm guessing if we had 5 to 7 people the cost would be
about $50 per person plus your meals and purchases. If you have any
interest in a trip to Chicago please let me know.
Since we had the watercolor class there has been interest in water
color painting so we'll have a table set up where people can paint
and visit. Sharon will most likely be spending some time here because
she's been doing well at watercolor painting.
Camping here on the grounds is full but we have other camping sites
within a mile or two of the GOW and there is still room in our 35+
seminars. Bob Mau, our host in charge of the seminars, will be
posting more stuff on the GOW. You may also go to my web site, link
below, and click on the Gathering Of Woodcarvers (GOW) on the bottom
of my home page to read all about it.
