>From the great Northeast, Massachusetts by name,

On the wings of a breeze, a pleasant smell came.
Was it baking bread or baker's delight?
I didn't know, it was still out of sight.

Then the postman delivered a box to my door.
And in cottonwood bark was a bakery store.
Twin chimneys told me two ovens were there.
And from the open door a sweet smell filled the air

When I was a child, how I loved that smell,
Fresh baked bread, cake and cookies, I remember them well.
Tempting sweets were always displayed on a shelf
Yet, to just walk by the bakery was a treat in itself.

Vic Hamburger's carving was more than just wood
Carved with great care and looking so good,
It carried with it a fond recollection.
So I'm pleased to add it to my growing collection.

Thank you Vic for the trip back in time.
That your carving brought forth from this memory of mine.
And just to make sure that nothing's amiss
Thank you Matt Kelley for organizing all this.
