Huck,
I am also a newer woodcarver about 2-3 years and this forum and its' many
talented carvers has helped me greatly. The one thing I would suggest is
that you find a local woodcarving club and join in the fun there. Where
ever you live, I'll bet that there is a woodcarving club withing driving
distance and there is nothing like hands on help to learn a new skill. If
you let us know where you live, city and state we can point you to someone
that may be able to help you locate a local club. Another source is of
course any woodwork store in the area.
