Ivan, don't be so modest. You are one of those professionals that have provided a lot of information and I hope you continue to.
I look forward to a posting whenever it has your name on it.

Take care,
JH

Welcome to the list, Huck!

No offense taken!

Yes, there is a social element to the wood carver's list which is permitted
by the owner with the suggestion that (1) it be labeled "chat" on the
subject line and that (2) it be kept down to a reasonable degree. He will
step in and give a friendly reminder when it gets out of hand.

The wood carving topics are usually driven by a specific question. Then the
serious participation in the List begins and information pours forth freely,
from carvers with a great deal of experience who jump in when they see their
participation would be of use.

The topics you mention have been discussed in the past and will be again if
someone, such as yourself, asks for information. So, the best way to steer
the conversation to topics you're interested in is to ask away!

So, if you had an opportunity to "Ask Joe" something, what would it be? He
and scores of experienced carvers are lurking out there ready to help!
(Aren't you, Joe?)

Welcome!
