[Woodcarver] Machine-carved duplicates

A lot of people name their machines, calling their car by a pet name, for example. (I call mine Flattery because it gets me nowhere.)
Just name the carving machine "My Apprentice." Then you can correctly say that the carving was roughed out by . . . . . . . well, you know:)
On a more serious note, I'm beginning to think more and more that the duplicated carvings are not a real threat to original work. They may , in fact, make the original, hand carved pieces more valuable. They also encourage us to strive to do more original work because with today's technology "anybody can make a duplicate."
Over twenty years ago I got a commission to carve a bunch of lion's claw table legs, bought a duplicator for that job, and haven't used it since--though I think my ears are still ringing!
