[Woodcarver] Just a question

Hi all
I think I've been a silent observer long enough & its time to get back on to using the list.
This summer I started volunteering for a pilot project sponsored by the province & 2 organizations that work to conserve the environment & wildlife here in the valley. What I'm doing (in case I got you curious) is going out on hiking trails or in the campgrounds & talking to people about reducing or eliminating negative wildlife contact. The idea for the program came from one of the interpreters for the provincial parks & while job shadowing with her I learned just how stressful it was for her to make her idea a reality.
As a small way of showing her that all her hard work was worth it I'm laying out a blank I have with the name of our group, the year & maybe bear & elk tracks. Then the hard part is going to be getting all the volunteers & co-coordinators to sign it in time to get it finished before our wrap up get together.
My question is, I don't want it to run or bleed through the wood when everyone signs it so what would be the best thing to sign it with? The blank is basswood & I was thinking of using Bill's SSW method to finish it.
I found out today that one co-coordinator is leaving in a month to go back to school in Toronto so I now have a deadline. That's okay though, I seem to work better under pressure.
Thanks in advance for all your help (again),
Mike 'TheKid'
