Hi Chris:

Doug here in Port Elgin, Jan can probably do everything you need but if he is to far away, send me a note at  cdrowe at brucetelecom.com and I will try to fill in the blanks.  We have a wood supplier here in Inverhuron that will sell you good basswood or butternut or any other wood he happens to be cutting for a good price.  I also run a small woodcarving group in Southampton and even though it's 1 hour and 20 min. across the peninsula, the occasional visit would be great.
