[Woodcarver] Holy smoke

Hi Dick,
   My first woodburning instructor told us that if we generated  any smoke, 
it meant that our burner was too hot and to turn it down. She  emphasized lots 
of strokes with a relatively cool pen. Of course this was for  fur and 
feathers; other subjects might require a different approach.
