Hi gang,

I have been looking at the new WorkSharp 3000 sharpening system for my
sharpening needs. With both carving tools and woodworking tools, this
system makes more sense than some that are carving tools only. That
said, I have no desire to drop $500++ on the Tormek or the Jet machine
that is similar.

Features that I think are particularly useful are the adjustable angle
for grinding from underneath, especially for flat chisels and blades.
Also the see-thru grinding ability from underneath and low speed are
good selling points.

This machine can be bought for $200, with a couple of accessories in the
$20-30 range, including a leather strop/wheel for final honing.
Rockler, Woodcraft and perhaps others sell these currently.

My question is, Has anyone bought one or test driven one at the store?
Any comments, pro or con on the machine? The couple of reviews I have
seen so far are generally positive. I looked at one this past weekend
and it appears to be well built for my occasional needs but of course a
second/third/more opinions never hurt!

Thanks for any feedback,

Vic H
