Subject: GOW next week

Hi Bill,

Could you please post this to your List? Thanks.

Hi Fellow Carvers,

I'm looking forward to the GOW (Gathering Of Woodcarvers) next week.
It's going to be fun. We've got a total of 49 seminars scheduled for
the 4-days (Tuesday September 18 through Friday the 21st.). To help
the instructors meet some of their expenses, full day classes are $10
plus material and half-day seminars are $5 plus material. It's a
great value for the price. I hope to see many of you here.

We also have evening activates planned, so plan on staying late. For
GOW information check out www.camperjohn.com/gow . Thanks to Camper
John for his awesome work maintaining our web site. No need to
register ahead of time for classes, but if you want to pre-register
contact Bob Mau at basswood at aol.com .

If any of you carvers are on the fence about coming, don't be shy.
Everyone is welcome. Our camping is full but there are places to camp
near by. We are expecting a lot of carvers but there is always room
for more. Several classes are full but there is still a great
selection of classes with openings. Check out the class schedule on
the web site.

Many thanks to my hosts for all the hard work they did in organizing
GOW 2007. Sandie Roosa (camping, registration and activities), Bob
Mau (instructor/class coordinator and publicity), Camper John (Web
master and photographer) and my dear wife Sharon (food and all other
stuff that I forget). We are outgrowing our facility so Gene
Westerberg has joined out team in facility planning for next year's
GOW 2008. The GOW could not happen without these awesome people.

For those coming, please attend our Opening Ceremony Monday
(September 17th) at 6 PM. We will begin with a Margarita Seminar
(Hosted by Cathy and Deb) where snacks will be served. At this time I
will give some short announcements, Bob Mau will introduce the
instructors, they will have their class areas set up so you can see
what they will be teaching and there will be time for fun and
socializing. Please do your best to attend this Opening Ceremony.
