  Phi totally confused me,- for days before I eventually gave up, and now we have a rule with a short side, a long side and another side marked with Phi,,,,, and I always thought there were two sides to everything ???? I'm going back to bed !!

  With all the discussion I've seen here regarding Phi I thought I would pass along a new find. Lee Valley Tools has 5 rules that are marked on one side for 'short side known' and on the other for 'long side known' on one edge with the other edge marked at the Phi equivilant. They come in 6", 12", 18", 24" & 36" sizes. Until October 15th the 4 piece set of 6" - 24" rules is being sold for an introductory special of $19.50 CDN.
