Hi Joe,

Did anyone ever chip carve aspen?

I'm working on a love spoon, but I'm not in love with it because it is in aspen, which I discovered is much harder than basswood or butternut.  I was told that it was fairly easy to carve, but nooooo.  I have the bowl complete but the handle is flat in order to chip carve a design into it.
