Dick,
I have several of the Flexcut mallet tools and use them regularly. The
Flexcut name is misleading with their mallet gouges as they don't... flex
that is (were never meant to). In identical carving situations, they won't
hold an edge as long as my Swiss Made, but when I bought them the difference
in price made them a "best buy", and they haven't made me sorry.
There have been a couple cases of other carvers that had single tools that
didn't hold an edge at all, but in both cases I was told Flexcut replaced
them... no hassle.
Keep on Carvin'

Hey,
Has anyone had any experience with Flexcut's mallet gouges? If so how would
you rate them.
