Robin:
What a pleasure to see you back on the List... it's been a while.
I remember the early attempts to promote the List via Chip Chats
magazine. For those on the List who can't believe the internet wasn't
ALWAYS around, here's the ancient link Robin is referring to:
http://web.archive.org/web/19981205225926/www.tiac.net/users/rtrudel/maillist.html
I remember talking to the the fellow whose team at the Super Computing
Department at the University of Illinois (Urban Champagne Campus)
created "Mosaic"... the ORIGINAL web browser that became Netscape/
Firefox.
Because of his work we have the ability to enjoy web browsers. And
that was only 13 years ago.
A warning to all those who think that the anonymity of the web gives
them permission to behave as they wish... some of the stuff said on
the OLD rec.woodcarving lists is still floating around, ready to
embarrass it's authors 13 years ater <grin>
Blessings and Peace,
Bill
