Oh good I'm glad they both are coming.  I was worried about it when I didn't see heis name.  Christmas in July that's good!  I sort of suggested not coming with the price of gas and all but mom said no way - Ann needed her help! :)  So the trip will be completed tomorrow morning!  What do you have to do this year?  Anything different?  I think I want to concentrate on faces...  But we shall see!   Have you heard from Nick and Nick?  Who eles???  Its nice Maura is coming too! 
Well. time to sleep so I can get up in the morning! oris it still night then....

It’s a darn good thing! 
 
The NEWR is like Christmas-in-July for me.  We’ve had students and teachers come and go since the NEWR started, and I miss ‘em… but if the “The Hat Lady” and her entourage weren’t there, I would seriously consider turning in my cottonwood bark, hanging up the flutes, and calling it a summer.  No joke.
 
BTW, Harold and his wife are coming.  Harold’s teaching gnome-homes in place of Tony Erickson who had surgery and cancelled his teaching for the year.  Tony…hope your feelin’ better… gonna be tough keeping the evil troll carver in check without ya!

   In addition to the DVD, Ev has just published the Complete Book of Woodcarving which has a profusely illustrated 52 page chapter devoted to sharpening knives, gouges and microtools. Overall it is the best carving book I have encountered.
