Taking this subject to a new level. Recently I saw a carving on e-bay by a carver who passed away in 1950. Later I found an almost similar carving pattern in a popular carving book. I used this pattern, changing the hat and clothing etc to simulate the original. Was this a violation of any copyright? Rip
