 I would love to Sandie as I need to get out there and am of course jealous and will probably know most? of you at GOW,? unfortunately the week of gow is also the week of my annual pilgrimage to Cape Cod. Been doing it for over 20 years now. even more important this year as I will get to go and visit the 5' sacred cod I recently finished. It is hanging over the door to the bar in a 4 star hotel in Chatam (elbow of the cape).? Need to get there to check out the installation and install a plaque to go along with it..? Thanks so much for the couch offer though. I really would have looked forward to that.? The first time I met ol' don I was in awe as he was probably the most famous carver I had met until then. could you imagine the ego boost I would get from stories I could tell of sleeping on his couch.? LOL? You are both wonderful people and belong together, hope to see you again sometime soon.? Love Maura

The GOW is the most fun of any of the carving?get-togethers. OK, OK, I'm just a little prejudiced since it was the site of our wedding. There is an air fare sale going on right now. Go to Cheap Tickets and check it out. There's some lady in Joe's town that does airport pick-ups and returns for a very reasonable rate. We can find a place for you to stay - the couch in the motorhome - or if you beg nicely, a room at Joe and Sharon's, if they haven't all been taken. Bring some friends with you and share a motel room. There's always a way. After all you don't want all your carving friends getting together without you.
