[Woodcarver] Roll Call

After the last week of very cold weather here in Oregon and not being able  
to get in the garage I'm back to getting Christmas orders out, last one 
today  and now for some fun.  A friend gave me a whole box of spindles he 
picked  up at a furniture factory, these were going to be chair legs but were 
seconds I  guess.  I started using them for turning mushrooms but a guy can 
only use  so many mushrooms right.  So I looked at one yesterday and saw a 
Santa face  in one so I cut it in half and proceeded to carve a Santa out of it. 
 
 
I love reclaiming wood.

I’m  carving four canes to go to our service men that were wounded in the 
line of  duty.  I have all my Christmas carving done so I am now carving for  
myself.

out  the one I just had published.  It will be in the January  issue.
