Hello woodcarving friends,

It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of a dear
friend of ours and many other woodcarving folks.

Kay Wannamaker passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 13, of causes
unknown at present.  She was preceded in death by a carver who had touched
so may carvers' lives, Joe Wannamaker.  After Joe's passing, Kay wanted to
keep in touch with all her carving friends and went to a number of carving
events they attended together.  She also re-joined the Board of Directors of
the Affiliated Wood Carvers, Ltd. and was currently their newsletter editor.

There is going to be a memorial service for her this coming Saturday at the
12th Street Presbyterian Church, 504 E 12th Street, Alton, IL  62002

Anyone who is able is invited to come and celebrate her life!  She was a
very dear friend, a wonderful lady and a saint walking this earth for
putting up with that cranky husband of hers for so many years!  Now that
they're back together, he will have to straighten out his act.  :o)
