Larry:
Do the same thing with the electrical service and some of the outlets, at certain locations like any work benches or close to any door that you may want to plug a drop cord into to take outside. Change from duplex to four-plex boxes and upgrade the wiring and breakers to those circuits.
Since I have started doing this on each building or remodeling project I have been much happier not having to unplug one thing to run something else and have almost no need for those power strips that lead to overloading circuits.
Also with a larger service and heavier wiring to certain circuits I don't see any lights dim when turning on a table saw, jointer or shaper and the motors come up to speed much quicker.
Keep making Chips!

Lucky you, Dick.
Congrats on the new shop! Just remember one "rule of thumb" . after you figure out exactly what you'll be needing for space for all the tools, equipment, work area, finishing area, storage area, etc., take that square foot figure and DOUBLE IT! It seems no matter how much space a person figures for a shop, once it gets all filled up, it's never enough.
One of the young fellows at our club's CHRISTmas party said that they were pouring concrete when it was 6 degrees out with a wind chill of -12! That's cold!

I just finished carving several snowmen (picked out by my wife) for Christmas decorations. and am finishing up on a gnome home for a gift. Also have a wood duck in butternut waiting to be finish sanded prior to finishing. After all this is done, i will need to regroup as all my saws and power tools are "stacked into the garage as I wait for my new shop to be built. Problem with the new shop is that it has been too cold to pour concrete. But the new shop is my Christmas present for years to come!
