Yep, I bought one of those small electric Toro units for SWMBO ,
thought she might like it better than the sump pump I was thinking of get her.
It was great for doing just the deck, lasted one season, the
following season when rolled out into our usual -40 degree C.
temperature and said I aint turning over for nobody. Just played the
dead dog routine and didn't flinch no matter who poked around in it's
gizzards, me, local handyman. electrician, nobody could make it move.
That was a couple of years ago so now the Lady Armstrong just cleans
it off the old fashioned way , keeps her in tip top shape too.(G)

Gord in Snow up to your armpits and temperatures that are just that,
low enough that wind chill don't even enter into the equation.
