[Woodcarver] What's your woodcarving related New Year's resolution?

That is a good question, Joe. I have made the same resolutions every year, but most of them end up not getting done. The seated nude is still a pile of reference photos, some drawings and a hefty chunk of butternut. I really want to get at her, but it needs to be in a space of time when there is nothing else pressing- and I'm not there.
I sometimes go months without carving or any woodworking at all- that is bad. It is depressing to not make something- not to make a cake that will be eaten, or to clean a floor that will just get dirty again, but to make something permanent with our own two hands- it just doesn't get any better than that.

Make something- you will feel better for it.
