[Woodcarver] taking photos (Marcia Berkall)

Friends,

For photos on the cheep, I spent 57 cents at Wally-World (what my son calls
Wal-Mart), and bought a light blue on one side and dark blue on the other
side poster board. I layed it on a chair - it'll stay put when a carving is
placed on the chair, taking care not to crease it but have it gradually
sloped. Then lights may be setup around it, but I just use my flash camera
on a tripod. I found that when the carving is placed away from the
background, no shadow shows in the picture. I have used a single poster
board for several years now with adequate luck, BUT, my goal is to place
pictures on the web.

Just my cheep 2 cents worth.

Dave
