Correction - The British are here!

Lesley and Jeff arrived at the shop this morning.  They had a very nice trip
with no difficulties along the way, oh, except for trying to burn down the
Super 8 motel in DeKalb, IL.  But that's another story.

Our lil' buddy, Joe Dillett and his lovely bride Sharon, are coming over to
Bettendorf tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 6, to spend some time with them.  Joe
said he is going to bring some tools in case we decide to sit and carve.  He
said he could teach a 3 to 4 hour mini-course on drawing if we'd like.  That
sounds like fun!

It sure would be nice if any of you within driving distance of here, would
be able to pop over for a visit.  I know after traveling all the way from
England, Lesley and Jeff would really appreciate visiting with some carvers,
whether you've met them on their previous visits to the Gathering of
Woodcarvers (GOW) or not.  Unfortunately after they had their non-refundable
tickets bought, the official week long GOW had to be cancelled.

If you think you could come over for a bit on Wednesday or Thursday, please
drop me a line privately so we can have some sort of idea what to expect.
If you do come, please park at the end of the block under the big billboard
since the parking in front of our store and our neighbor's business is quite
limited.

If you can't make it and want to send a greeting message to them, please
send it to my address (thewoodcraftshop at mchsi.com) and I'll print it out and
give it to them.
