[Woodcarver] Food Safe Finish

I would be careful about using any nut oil. Many people have an allergy to nuts and any nut oil finish will make them have a reaction. Salad bowl finish or mineral oil do not have any nut oil in them.

A bowl turner friend of mine uses walnut oil, or butcher block oil for his food safe bowls.

I am carving the Oak Bowl found in the latest Woodcarving Illustrated. Does anyone have a suggestion what to use as a food safe finish for the inside of the bowl?
