> Conewago Carvers will have an exhibit of their club members. Conewago Carrvers is another sister club which is very active west of the Susquehanna River, meeting in East Berlin.

> West Shore Woodcarvers will also have an exhibit of their club members. West Shore Woodcarvers is another sister club which is very active west of the Susquehanna River, Hamton Twp, Cumberland Co.

> “Woodcarving Illustrated” and Fox Chapel Publishing are planning to host an area called “Spit and Whittle” for carvers and attendees to sit and share information and to carve and to watch some demonstrations.

> Demonstrations / Lectures will be given by various carvers including our featured carvers and other local carvers.

>

> 

> WOODCARVINGS AND WILDLIFE ART are available for purchase from many of the artists and carvers. Many pieces of original work by carvers and other artists will be available.

> Exhibits and Displays of Wood Carvings and Wildlife Art are hosted by the artists.

> Vendors will also be selling carving and art tools, supplies, books, and food.

> All entries must be registered by Saturday 8:00 a.m. Entries may be registered on Friday evening between 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., or Saturday morning between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. Judging starts on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. and ends about 10:00 a.m.

>                    A new Novice Category has been added last year for "Instructor Assisted" Carvings.

> Free Youth competition is limited to those who have not yet reached their 17th birthday. Each youth can enter one item, there are no categories, it must be completed by the youth, (no assistance from instructors).

> 

> COMPETITION DISPLAY of entries and ribbons on the winners will be displayed between 10:00 a.m. and Noon on Saturday.

> 

> Raffle Tickets available for a special Tilt-Top Table with the top being a quilt of a variety of wood patches of chip carvings and relief carvings and woodburnings by members of The Lancaster County WoodCarvers. The raffle drawings will be on Sunday, March ??th at 3:00 p.m.  All proceeds from the raffles will benefit “SOARS, Supporting Our American Recruits,” a charity for soldiers (see their website:  http://www.supportouramericanrecruits.com/4436.html.)

> Silent Auction will be held for a limited number of carvings and wildlife art donated by exhibitors and Club Members.

> Door prizes of carvings done by the Lancaster County WoodCarvers will be awarded regularly throughout the event.

> The John Herrington Award of 2013 will be announced at the Festival on Saturday afternoon. This is a recognition given by the Lancaster County WoodCarvers to a member for the outstanding contributions to our club and the world of carving. The last Harrington Award was given in 2010 to Andrew DiPace of Lancaster, PA. [Club nominates anyone by October Meeting and then Award Committee selects three nominees and get bios from these three and publishes and then Club votes at December meeting. Awards ordered in January.]
