[Woodcarver] Interesting Chinese work

Hello, 

I know little about Chinese work but wonder how one can judge how rare this item is. 
I have a Chinese screen with figures integrated into the screen and have been told by an appraiser that the screen I have is 20th century made for the US market. A difference between the Ebay screen and mine is that the Ebay screen seems to portray Western ladies in Chinese garments.
