Up there today & despite a weak freeze last night encountered similar good conditions as Tom Wolfe's yesterday post.

Although it felt pretty summery up there, high cirrus coupled with a light to moderate breeze kept the snow surface cool, crevasse bridges supportive & foot penetration low.
