I totally agree with Mark on this one and if I would have seen the post
offering the Crossroads show with the 2 second gaps I surely would have responded
in a negative way.

The point is to keep the recordings in their original form when trading or
sharing in this type of forum. One guy responded to Mark's post wondering why
Mark cares if someone has two second gaps in their copy, it's because your
corrupting the trading pool when you do that! Before you know it most of the
shows are going to have two second gaps and like Mark said maybe after 10 trades
he might get a CD in it's original form. It's not just your copy with the
gaps, the 5 people you send them to and so on down the line will have the same
problem.

There's nothing more annoying than listening to a live recording with pauses
in between the tracks. Perfect example, try listing to The Beatles' Abby Road
with two second pauses and you'll know exactly what I mean (not a live album
but you'll get the point). Besides, what's so hard about burning DAO, it's a
simple click of a button! If someone on this group sends me a corrupted disc
I won't pass it on and I recommend everyone else do the same.

I think what Mark is asking is for people to take care in what they're doing
when copying CD's, I think you're messing with a good thing when you don't,
before you know it people won't offer up new shows.

Just my two cents,
Jon
