Joe is awesome. For anyone who has the HD cable
station InHD, there's a show called "Musiclab". Last
weeks show had an in studio interview with Joe. He sat
there and answered questions about life and guitar
playing - demonstrating on guitar when appropriate.
When asked about his influences, he plays a few riffs
in the style of that artist. He played riffs from BB
King, SRV, Albert King and Cream-era Clapton. He was
asked at age 11 to open for BB King. BB called his Mom
on the phone and asked her if it was OK. Joe said he
was lucky it was on the weekend, because he had to be
in school during the week- in 7th grade. He was signed
to a record deal at age 12 or 13 after appearing on a
news magazine show with Jane Pauley. The guy is
obviously blessed with an enormous amount of talent.
If you down load from dime-a-dozen, look here:

or do a search under his name. Also check out his
label released Cd's, which are good also. His playing
is rooted in the blues, but I wouldn't necessarily
classify him as a straight blues artist.
