[Slowhand] Slowhand Digest, Vol 9, Issue 13

John Mayer started playing blues guitar because of SRV. When he played Austin City Limits SRV's bandmates Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon were also jamming with him. They have also jammed with him at other locations. SRV was his inspiration.

Saw John Mayer on Austin City Limits and enjoyed it.Buddy Guy joined him on 
stage and his guitar chops are interesting as well.
He has that new school singing style that does not do much for me but I 
agree he loves blues and is at least turning on a younger generation to the 
art form we love.
