Hey Westley,

I'm starting to see the St. Bernard New pop up around different areas
throughout SE Louisiana - Northshore, Hammond, Metairie, Baton Rouge

I spoke with Joe Chambers, he said if anyone calls him from where they are
presently displaced, they (Roberson press) can find a way to get the paper
to locations (supermarkets, Wal-Marts, Home Depots) where they are. He asks
that the displaced St. Bernard resident make inquiries to the Wal-Mart, Home
Depot, etc. if they would allow the St. Bernard News to have a small space
for a stand or some counter space at their location.

>From what I hear, no merchant has declined to display the paper when asked -

and can that's understandable. If word gets out to displaced St. Bernard
residents that they can find a copy of the St. Bernard News at a merchant's
place of business, they know it will draw the folks there at least one day a
week to look for a copy.

Joe Chambers can be reached at 504-832-1481. It might not be a bad idea to
see if Joe can provide a list of locations (name of business and address,
town) where the News can be obtained, and you can periodically post it on
da-parish. I understand they're trying to get it to east Texas. Perhaps a
St. Bernard resident could help be the point man/distributor for the News in
the town their located. I'm sure Joe can get them a supply to meet the
demand in their location.

Who knows, this could end up being the most effective way a "communication"
thread can be resewn for St. Berard residents no matter how dispersed we
are.

By the way, I'm not writing this so much to be posted verbatim. I'm just
letting you know as a FYI and you can rephrase it any way you like.
Especially after the way you put into words your comback against the
threatening "vultures," I trust your editing skills. Hell, I told my wife
)after reading your comments "snapping" off the heads of those attorneys)
who needs to have a pit bull for protection when you could have Westley at
your side : ) .

Thanks,
John Scurich
