[StBernard] Jr and MRGO

I agree, Jill, simple communication could have helped matters out. But
let's face it, Junior was never a master of PR - not a criticism, but a fact
even he would agree with. I tried my best to do that for him when possible,
but at times got criticism from others close to Junior for doing it and/or
found it to be thankless or unappreciated.

But I certainly understood the reasons why the League sent out the letter.

P.S. I should note that one of members of Congress who spoke with us and
appeared to be really sympathetic to our cause in Washington was U.S.
Senator Larry Craig from Idaho (laugh).

John,
Thanks for the input.
All Junior had to do was to give Pete Savoye, the most recognized person
striving to close the MRGO, the courtesy of sharing this information and the
strategy he was using with the idiots in DC prior to presenting this to be
voted on at a council meeting. Unfortunately the way it was presented gave
others a different perception of Junior's reasons thus others saw this ploy
differently, which is why the letter was generated from the St. Bernard
Sportsmen's League.
