Shirley, I was saddened to hear of the passing of your husband, Bob.  I
considered him a good friend, even though we met each other only a couple
of times.  He was one of my first students at Evert  four or five years
ago.  He was exceedingly welcoming to my wife and me and helped us
survive a few days with a leaking air mattress in a truck.
Tonight I had a carving class at my house.  At the end of the class I
brought two of Bob's fish decoys - pike that he traded me for two of
mine- and I had a short memorial eulogy for Bob.  He truly was a special
man that I was honored to call my friend.  You and your family have my
deepest sympathy.
