[Woodcarver] strop glue?

Hi Al,

I don't glue my strop to anything so I can bend it to get inside of gouges.
I glue leather inside my metal and wood vise jaws with the silicon calk they
use for bath tubs. That silicon calk is flexable enough to bend or stretch
with the leather, fills gaps well, bonds well to leather, glass, wood, or
metal and perhaps lots of other stuff. It can be peeled off and replaced if
necessary.

Hello Everyone,

What is the best glue for gluing a piece of leather to wood for making a
strop? Thank you very much, in advance, for any and all answers.

The list has been rather slow lately, but the pictures that have been added
to albums and websites have been outstanding. Incredible talent on this
list--gives a rank amateur something to shoot for. Thanks!!1
