[Woodcarver] Schools & More

Hello. Yes Cynda really let the schools have it... I am happy that you two
agree. I also think there must be a list on the net that would work better
for that kind of discussion. it is not just you two though. There has been
so much drivel that is not carving related. this list wasn't originally
intended for personal one on one conversations such as, "great job mary," or
other one liners. If you are sincere send the person a private message. Many
people don't want to wade through the heaps of emails that are not relevant
to them in anyway. If they are relevant to the list or someone needing help
or asking questions on wood, tools or anything that is sincerely carving
related. I was on this list before it was a list. We were trying it out on
an experimental basis and were told to keep our conversations to woodcarving
related subjects and if anything could be answered that wasn't of use to the
list in general to reply privately. then it went to jokes and poems would
be allowed. then went to gossip could be used if the email was marked chat.
Anymore I dought if it is even 50% honest carving related subjects if you
take out the nice job Jim. messages or many of them are just plain like this
is a private chat line for anything they want to utter. I think many of the
subjects may have some substance it is just in the wrong place. Jack
