Hi Chris,
I second Bill, I also carve mostly white Pine and I always use Bill's
finishing technique, give it a generous coat of sanding sealer, allow to dry
overnight and then buff lightly with a sponge backed fine grit sanding pad,
vacuum the dust off and coat it with paste wax, the kind for hardwood
floors, allow to dry and buff it up with a horsehair shoe brush, and then
polish with a soft cloth, comes out beautifully.
Take care,
Clive.

with a clear finish. I'm not sure what to use for a finish. Some expert
advice would be welcome.
