Clean and abrade wheel by sanding lightly and then coat with glue (white
glue or wood glue). Allow this to become tacky and then roll the wheel
in the abrasive powder. To do this, place the powder on a sheet of
paper so that the unused portion can be recovered. This powder is the
same abrasive that can be obtained from a lapidary shop or similar
compound used for valves from an automotive supply. The set of wheels
should have come with a wax compound or use beeswax . This wax would be
added to the abrasive wheel after drying as you would put polishing
compound on a wheel. This wax is to work a a lubricant and cooling
agent with the abrasive wheel when sharpening.
