Yes they do Merrilee.
We tried that avenue but the Teachers thought we were trying to cut in on
their teritory.
It wasn't in the curriculum so it didn't count.
Anyway when it comes to woodcarving in this country anyone under forty is a
young carver.
There is no tradition of carving here as there is in USA or Europe. Most
probably because our native woods are so hard that people didn't pick up a
stick and whip out the pocket knife.
Carving is something they take up when they retire and then only do it one
afternoon a week when they attend one of our groups.
