Hi Maura,
I think folks have posted less due to a few "bad apples" who were on
list always wanting to "stir the pot". After a couple of bad incidents
the fall off started. People were afraid to post as some BS would
start or a moderator get his shorts in a knot. With this, the personal
aspect of the list fell WAY off. Live chats took many people away
also.
Our carving club is going strong. No drop off.
I haven't posted much due to no meaningful subjects and more time at work.

Where has all the traffic on the carving lists gone. There was a time when
i could'nt keep up with all the posts, now nothing. What gives. Newr seemed
to also have a lot less in attendance this year. The two local shows I
attended were also much smaller. Is there something going on, something in the
water? killing the carvers off?? I can't blame it on the season as I have
noticed this trend for a while now. my carving group is holding steady and
actually reclaiming some of its old members. So whats up....any
thoughts. How is
carving in your part of the world, dying or thriving. Exactly what is the
state of woodcarving in america today ???
