[Woodcarver] Source of Hanging Hardware

I remember seeing in one of Chris Pye's books/articles a picture of the back of a relief carving.??(It may have been one of the green man articles.)? The hanger was a round?brass piece, with a nail slot in?it.??It may even have screwed in.

Anyone seen anything like that in the States.
