Richard- this is one of those days- please post some photos of the netsuke you
have done. I would so much like to see them. It is so much 'down my alley' that
I really must give it a try.
What are your favorite woods to use? I have a good supply of both French boxwood
and South American boxwood- as well as ebony, pink ivory, and everything in
between. At the rate I use my special woods I have a lifetime supply-
especially if using them in small things like netsuke. Do you use power or hand
tools?

Don't do it!! stop right now, don't even think about it!!!! Once you start you
can't stop. You aren't thinking about it now are you. etty-bitty critters on a
leaf perhaps? I have been carving them for about 5 years. I keep going back to
the site and trying something new all the time. And it don't take much wood. One
of these days I will get some pictures up of them.
